Chronic, toxic stress is overwhelming our school systems.  As teachers, you are trying to teach academics with students who are increasingly dysregulated and disengaged.  You are often stuck in the middle of seemingly irreconcilable differences between parents, administrators, and public debate about what and how to teach. You are trying your best, with the time and energy you have, but it never seems like enough.

Sound familiar?  This online course is for educators who care enough about their work and life to take the time for essential self-care.  We’ll focus on simple, practical ways to strengthen your resilience and turn traumatic stress into post-traumatic growth.  We’ll provide inspiration, instruction, and implementation tips for surviving these turbulent times.


This program is designed to help you restore your heart and mind – so you can face the impossible challenges of being a teacher today with greater clarity, calm, and compassion.  We’ll focus on practical ways to care for yourself throughout the school day – so you can meet the never-ending demands more peacefully and productively.

Course Expectations:

  • Classes meet online via Zoom on selected Wednesdays from 4:00 – 4:45 pm.
  • We will strive to begin and end class promptly.
  • Join us as soon, and as much, as you can.
  • You are encouraged to share your video (i.e., smiling face) during the live classes.
  • Class recordings will be AUDIO ONLY – so you don’t have to worry about being seen.
  • You will be muted, except for when you choose to share a thought or question.
  • You are encouraged to share your thoughts and questions!
  • Recordings and Notes will be made available for participants within 24 hours following each class. (SEE BELOW.)
